HOTEL LOCATION AND LOBBY HOURS
The conference takes place at our hip and beachy host location, The Art Hotel, located at 1404 N. Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, California. Lobby hours for The Art Hotel are Monday through Sunday, 7:00am until `11:00pm
SPECIAL PRICING FOR CONFERENCE
The Art Hotel is a boutique hotel, All rooms onsite are priced at a special conference rate of $295.00USD per night, plus 14% occupancy tax.
Attendees who wish to stay onsite must book all four nights, checking in July 16, 2024 after 3pm, and checking out July 20, 2024 at 11am.
Incidentals are at attendee cost. Early or late checkout fees may also apply at a rate of no less than $50 per occurrence. Your reservation will be made directly with the hotel.
EXTENDING YOUR STAY
The Art Hotel will extend the conference rate to registered attendees for up to five additional nights before or after the end of the conference.
ROOMMATES
Sharing rooms is encouraged, we will pair you with a roommate by request. Please email sowempowerment.com. All names associated with your room must be provided to the hotel and event organizers for safety, as well as to ensure that each person receives room drops and other surprises during the event.
Society of Wildflowers Conference organizers are not responsible for roommate payments, disputes or complaints. Our only service offered is to pair you with a person to share the cost of your room, which is optional. Please address any issues regarding hotel or room arrangements directly with The Art Hotel.
PROPERTY CONSIDERATIONS
The Art Hotel is a boutique hotel and beloved landmark in Laguna Beach. All rooms at Art Hotel are air-conditioned. Rooms are decorated in rich wood and cool accents. Tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and microwave are provided. Some rooms offer balconies and sitting areas.
The Art Hotel is located one mile north of the downtown area and Main Beach in Laguna Beach.
Direct beach access is a two-minute walk from The Art Hotel. The hotel offers a selection of umbrellas and beach toys for guest use.
Built in 1962, the property is over fifty years old. Some noise from street traffic, our event set up and activity, or activity from adjacent rooms may be audible during your stay. If this is a concern, you may wish to stay offsite. Please email sowempowerment@gmail.com for assistance.
Aside from catered meals provided by the conference as described in your ticket, no room service or onsite dining establishments are offered at the hotel. Many local eateries, shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and most local restaurants offer delivery service for a fee.
TRANSPORTATION
Free transport is offered by the free Laguna Beach Trolley, the closest pick-up point is less than a mile from The Art Hotel, at Heisler Park. The Laguna Beach Trolley is accessed by an app, use of your personal smartphone is required.
The trolley picks up and drops off to points all around Laguna Beach during their designated hours of operation.
Uber, Lyft and Taxi service are also available at your cost.
HOW TO CONFIRM AND PAY FOR YOUR ROOM
Upon placing a hold, you will be emailed a link to complete your booking with the Art Hotel in Laguna Beach. Your reservation must be completed and confirmed within 24 hours. If you are unable to complete your booking for any reason, the hold will be removed, and the unpaid room will be returned to the pool of available rooms. Attendees who wish to stay onsite must book all four nights.
When you receive the link, you will select your room. Please note: some rooms have balconies, and some do not. The rate is the same, regardless of the room or amenities. Parking is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.
PET POLICY
Though some rooms are listed on the hotel's site as pet friendly, our conference is not able to accommodate pets or ESA's. Legally registered service animals, as defined by the ADA and ACAA, are welcome.
DISABLED ACCESS
ADA accessible rooms, accessible parking, ramps, a pool lift and elevator are offered at The Art Hotel. Please contact the organizer for details on how to book an accessible room. Please inform us of any specific accommodations you may need.
CANCELLATION
Your paid reservation with The Art Hotel may be cancelled without penalty until October 1, 2024.
TRANSFERS
After October 1, 2024, you may request to transfer your room to another paid attendee until January 1, 2025. Please contact organizers at sowempowerment@gmail.com to request a transfer.
NO REFUNDS AFTER JANUARY 1, 2025
No transfers or cancellations are permitted after 1/1/25, without exception. All purchases related to the event, lodging, excursions or other items sold on this site are final sale and nonrefundable after January 2, 2025. See our complete refund policy and terms and conditions for details.
