FRIDAY

4:00PM-6:00PM

Welcome to Camp Wildflower!

CHECK IN, SWAG BAG AND BEDDING PICK UP

At our self check in station, you'll find your swag bag with your name on it, as well as a bedding station where you'll select a sleeping bag, and grab a pillow, blanket and pillowcase, (which you should definitely decorate and cover in signatures from your cabin mates!).

REPORT TO YOUR CABIN, LET THE FUN BEGIN!

Once you've collected your items, you'll report to your assigned Cabin. We'll have bins of Cabin Swag on the lawn to decorate your space, so be sure to grab a few items to dress up your bunk and cabin door. You'll have time to take a breath, unpack and arrange your bed, and best of all, hang out with your cabin mates to decide collectively on a fun name for your cabin.

THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU TO DINNER

In your swag bag you'll find a water tumbler and trucker hat, we suggest you bring these along to dinner, (along with your SWAPS!). The tumbler will allow you to take a beverage to go, and we'll be decorating our hats and trading SWAPS during the evening session.

If you don't have SWAPS, worry not, we'll have a crafting station available where you can make a few.

DINNER 6:30PM-7:30PM, HUCKLEBERRY HALL

We'll gather as a group for the first time at Huckleberry Hall, the huge red building a short walk away, where we'll enjoy a fresh and tasty dinner before heading to The Lodge for our first round of fun creative workshops and offerings. By now, we hope you've come up with a camp nickname for yourself, which will be added to your hat during the next part of the event. Your hat serves as your name badge for this event, and we suggest you wear it daily, not only to identify yourself and others, but because, who wants to deal with hairdos when there's so much fun to be had?

7:30-9:00PM

Take a sweet break for s'mores at our Overlook fire pits. This is a walk up activity that takes about 5-10 minutes per person.

EVENING CREATIVE SESSIONS

Some of our evening offerings are walk up, if you'd like to keep it casual, while others are dedicated classes, for those who'd like to jump right in. Please be sure to read the full descriptions, to determine what you'd like to do, and what it might intersect with.

7:45PM-9:00PM

WATER MARBLING BANDANAS, STAR GREENWOOD, MAYU SILK ART

Feel the fluidity of your mind as you float and swirl vibrant colors of marbling paint onto the water's surface, then capture your masterpiece on a bandana that can be worn, or used as fabric for a variety of creative workshops throughout the event. This is a walk-up activity that takes about ten minutes per person.

SWAPS STATION

What are SWAPS? They're Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere. We encourage you to create 12-24 of your own SWAPS at home and bring them to trade. These get pinned on your camp hat, you'll be covered in them by the time camp ends. If you didn't get a chance to make some, or would like to make a few extras, this walk up activity will offer a table of "random craft stuff", perfect for creating quick SWAPS to trade, such as chenille stems, google eyes, pom pons, safety pins, beads and other fun trinkets. This is a walk-up activity, and will be open all day Saturday, too.

MAGICAL FOREST TAPESTRY, COMMUNITY PAINTING

While you're here, be sure to add your touches such as flowers, branches, wilderness animals or words of intention to our Magical Forest Tapestry. This is a community painting project, and we need each campers touch to be added, for it to fulfill its enchanted destiny. The goal is to cover the entire surface of the fabric, so feel free to use broad strokes and go big! Paint and fabric markers are provided, please leave them at the station once you've added your own design. This is a walk-up activity, and will also be available all day on Saturday.
